1. GROWTH: HOW/WHY TO DEVELOP A GROWTH MINDSET

Before I get to the regular monthly updates, I wanted to mention a couple of superpowers we value here at Nadine West. Those super powers are: having a Growth mindset and practicing Gratitude.

It is absolutely not true that people have a fixed IQ. Having a growth mindset means rejecting that assumption.

People with a growth mindset believe, correctly, that intelligence and talents are expandable and within our control. People with a growth mindset love learning, love self-improvement, and love opportunity.

If you’re reading this, you have already demonstrated to someone here at Nadine West that you have a growth mindset and I just wanted to point out how much we value this in you. Thank you.

2. GRATITUDE: THE KEY TO PEACE AND HAPPINESS

Our Nadine West company mission is: to deliver happiness to the everyday woman.

As you probably know, one of the keys to happiness is gratitude. So, let me express our collective gratitude for everyone reading this. We are very lucky to have such an amazing team to work alongside. In fact, that is why we named our internal team blog “thankyou.nadinewest.com.”

Also, practicing gratitude leads you to focus on what really matters and to stop comparing yourself to others.

I think this is one of the secrets of our success at Nadine West. Instead of watching our competitors to see what they do, we focus on taking care of each other and taking care of our customers.

If it seems like we live in a little Nadine West Bubble sometimes, it’s partially true but it’s also a nice bubble, full of good feels and happy customers.

3. VALENTINE’S DAY CONTEST

Multiple scientific studies prove that Nadine West has the most creative team in all of e-commerce. It’s scientifically proven!

Check out some of these entries from our Valentine’s Day Contest last month. 

Last month, our online teams held a movie poster contest in lieu of a Valentine’s Day celebration.

They recreated their favorite love story by dressing up as their favorite movie characters.

And as the entries were submitted one by one, the other team members couldn’t help posting comments and emoticons. 

I could already imagine how fun it would be if the Nadine West team could actually gather together and hold these contests and other games. 

What I love even more is how supportive our team members’ families are in our activities. 

Many of the movie posters feature more than one character and our members’ loved ones happily posed with them.

We just love how Nadine West becomes 1% better every single day, especially during an extremely challenging time.

We want to make sure that all these efforts are recognized, so we are now giving awards to our top performers.

For now, the teams that are giving awards include Styling, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams. Our Buying Team gives an award only for perfect attendance for now, as they identify their key performance indicators.

Below is a list of the awards. Most of them are given on a regular basis, either monthly or quarterly. Although some of them will be given once a year.

• The treasure hunter – Highest lines/ items per day
• Most reliable – perfect attendance and always willing to help
• Miss Congeniality – Friendliest to everyone

Warehouse Monthly Awards and Recognition

• The Rockstar – Top Performer
• Never Missed a Beat – Perfect Attendance
• Rising Star – New employee that exceeds all expectations
• DJ of the Month – Employee who’s playlist gets the team dancing

1. CRECIMIENTO: CÓMO / POR QUÉ DESARROLLAR UNA MENTE DE CRECIMIENTO

Antes de pasar a las actualizaciones mensuales regulares, quería mencionar un par de superpoderes que valoramos aquí en Nadine West. Esos superpoderes son: tener una mentalidad de crecimiento y practicar la gratitud.

No es absolutamente cierto que las personas tengan un coeficiente intelectual fijo. Tener una mentalidad de crecimiento significa rechazar esa suposición.

Las personas con una mentalidad de crecimiento creen, correctamente, que la inteligencia y los talentos son expandibles y están bajo nuestro control. Las personas con una mentalidad de crecimiento aman aprender, aman la superación personal y aman las oportunidades.

Si estás leyendo esto, ya le has demostrado a alguien aquí en Nadine West que tienes una mentalidad de crecimiento y solo quería señalar cuánto valoramos esto en ti. Gracias.

2. GRATITUD: LA CLAVE DE LA PAZ Y LA FELICIDAD

La misión de nuestra compañía Nadine West es: brindar felicidad a la mujer común.

Como probablemente sepa, una de las claves de la felicidad es la gratitud. Entonces, permítanme expresar nuestra gratitud colectiva por todos los que leen esto. El mes pasado, nuestros equipos en línea realizaron un concurso de carteles de películas en lugar de la celebración del Día de San Valentín.

Recrearon su historia de amor favorita vistiéndose como sus personajes favoritos de películas.

Y como las entradas se enviaron una por una, los otros miembros del equipo no pudieron evitar publicar comentarios y emoticonos.

Ya podía imaginar lo divertido que sería si el equipo de Nadine West pudiera reunirse y celebrar estos concursos y otros juegos.

Lo que me encanta aún más es el apoyo que brindan las familias de los miembros de nuestro equipo en nuestras actividades.
