1. GROWTH: HOW/WHY TO DEVELOP A GROWTH MINDSET
Before I get to the regular monthly updates, I wanted to mention a couple of superpowers we value here at Nadine West. Those super powers are: having a Growth mindset and practicing Gratitude.
It is absolutely not true that people have a fixed IQ. Having a growth mindset means rejecting that assumption.
People with a growth mindset believe, correctly, that intelligence and talents are expandable and within our control. People with a growth mindset love learning, love self-improvement, and love opportunity.
If you’re reading this, you have already demonstrated to someone here at Nadine West that you have a growth mindset and I just wanted to point out how much we value this in you. Thank you.

2. GRATITUDE: THE KEY TO PEACE AND HAPPINESS
Our Nadine West company mission is: to deliver happiness to the everyday woman.
As you probably know, one of the keys to happiness is gratitude. So, let me express our collective gratitude for everyone reading this. We are very lucky to have such an amazing team to work alongside. In fact, that is why we named our internal team blog “thankyou.nadinewest.com.”
Also, practicing gratitude leads you to focus on what really matters and to stop comparing yourself to others.
I think this is one of the secrets of our success at Nadine West. Instead of watching our competitors to see what they do, we focus on taking care of each other and taking care of our customers.
If it seems like we live in a little Nadine West Bubble sometimes, it’s partially true but it’s also a nice bubble, full of good feels and happy customers.

3. VALENTINE’S DAY CONTEST
Multiple scientific studies prove that Nadine West has the most creative team in all of e-commerce. It’s scientifically proven!

4. TOP PERFORMER AWARDS
Let me repeat that. We have the most creative team in all of e-commerce.
We asked team leads to recognize top performers with fun awards and here are a few they came up with.
The Flash – Most members helped in customer service
The Renaissance man/woman – The stylist that is able to hit a 5 on all metrics
DJ of the Month – Employee who’s playlist gets the warehouse team dancing
The Fire Extinguisher – Can extinguish any problem
MacGyver Award – Can fix anything: PCs, Software
I believe some of these are monthly awards and some are one-time awards made up on the spot, which is even more awesome! Great job, team leads!!

6. OUR FIRST PRIVATE LABEL, “SHIELA ROSE”
In our earliest days at Nadine West, Shiela Cueno was the ENTIRE styling team, the ENTIRE customer service team, and the ENTIRE buying team — all at once.
Sadly, we lost her unexpectedly in 2018 and we miss her dearly.
In honor of Shiela, we named the first ever Nadine West fashion line “Shiela Rose”.
We miss you, Shiela.
