1. JUNE 2020 RESULTS (SPOILER: AMAZING!!)

Our month-end numbers are in, and…(DRUM ROLL)…

June 2020 was our best month ever. We shipped more clothing, to more customers, in June than ever before. Please give each other a virtual fist bump because you are the best team in the history of the known universe!!

A-MAZING JOB, EVERYONE!!!!!!

What’s even more impressive than our June numbers — is HOW we achieved our June numbers.

We shipped more clothing, to more customers, in June than ever before. However, it did NOT require the team to perform miracles or work themselves to exhaustion. Instead, we all worked together as a team and followed The Nadine West Way.

2. THE NADINE WEST WAY

The Nadine West Way is about working smarter, not just harder. It’s about focusing on long-term solutions, communicating with precision, and taking care of each other.

Focus on long-term solutions.

When a problem comes up, it almost always takes more effort to think deeply — and ask what caused the problem — than it would to fix it with a band-aid.

It’s almost always worth the time to go deeper and ask what caused the problem, that caused the problem. Then, using your judgement, decide if it’s worth the extra effort to design a long-term solution that is Built To Last.

Focus on the long-term is a big part of The Nadine West Way.

Communicate with precision.

The most valuable thing in Nadine West (and in life, really) is our time.

When you communicate precisely, through a well thought-out Basecamp Message or a Basecamp To-do, you show how much you value your coworkers’ time that you’re willing to invest energy and effort, to save them time and confusion.

A carefully thought-out Basecamp Message (attention to detail, message formatting, sometimes diagram/images) also encourages you to think more deeply about what you are trying to say, which usually results in better ideas and better solutions. Writing a good Basecamp Message requires more effort on your part, but it’s an investment that saves others’ time and helps us all get more done in less time. Thank you for this!!!

Writing well requires thinking more deeply and is a big part of The Nadine West Way.

Take care of each other – and Nadine West.

A good team takes care of each other. I’ve witnessed countless examples of how you take care of each other with compassion, mentoring, coaching, and leadership. You consistently take care of the people on your immediate team and on the larger team that is Nadine West. It’s been amazing to see us grow as a team and a company.

Taking care of each other and Nadine West is a big part of The Nadine West Way.
