1. OUR MISSION
First, I wanted to share Nadine West’s mission with any new members of the Nadine West team.
Our mission is to deliver happiness to the everyday woman. On one level, that means sending beautiful pink packages of personalized outfits, at an affordable price, to our customers.
But on a deeper level, that means making our customers smile whenever they interact with Nadine West — whether it is through our web site, through text messages from OMS, through emails from customer service, or through the outfits that our warehouse ships to their doorsteps.
And now, on to the team updates…

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM UPDATE FROM Carl
What is your team working on the past couple of months? Any new projects?
CS is now moving forward after the peak of missing items and the FedEx bug. We’re ready to help out with the new company initiatives like the partial charges and collecting outstanding balances during the cancel request process. Happiness Score is recovering, we’re getting fewer escalations from the FB group too and in general, most importantly, Refunds are almost back to normal levels. Happy days ahead!
Is there anything you’d like to brag about? Any special achievements or problems solved?
Just super proud of this team. So resilient. So willing. Just a ping away and everyone’s happy to help with whatever is needed. There have been a lot that the team had to work on in the background being the frontliners, it is not always easy, it is not always quiet but somehow, it is always fun. 🙂
Are there people on your team you’d like to give a special shout-out to?
I get inspired from the CS leaders daily – Jaymie, Janelle, Jirces, Janis, Hana, Zarah, Marianne, KC, Kevin, Katherine, Reggie, and Marvin – not only they are problem solvers but are the funniest people on Earth (to clarify, Jaymie’s just a problem-solver LOL). Talk about talent!!!
Are there people on other teams you’d like to thank?
Deffo! Meredith, Hayley, Abby, Miha, Panos, Kudakwashe, Faizal, Marat, Elmira. If CS is the problem-solvers for the members – the engineering team is ours. Thank you! 🙂

3. STYLING TEAM UPDATE FROM Elaine
What is your team working on the past couple of months? Any new projects?
We are continuously working on delivering quality. Folks were trained in Marketing and we also trained the Buying team with both Customer service styling escalations and Marketing tasks.
Is there anything you’d like to brag about? Any special achievements or problems solved?
We are actively working on figuring out the logistics and financials of doing team buildings. We have been working together online for so many years that the team felt meeting up in person would be wonderful. Kudos to Team Henrietta for starting this trend!
Are there people on your team you’d like to give a special shout-out to?
We have a bunch of awesome folks who got promoted from Juniors to Regulars. Congratulations! Jaie, Dana and Nelliza!
Are there people on other teams you’d like to thank?
I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work. Please continue to be kind to one another. There is no I in Team. I invite everyone to continue choosing forgiveness rather than division, teamwork over personal ambition.

4. BUYING TEAM UPDATE FROM Emmie
What is your team working on the past couple of months? Any new projects?
For a while, we were not ordering apparels so Elaine and her team taught us to do regular and cs escalation styling. They also trained us on their weekly marketing task of listing top 20 products per subcategory whose samples will be used for our flat lay photoshoots.

Thank you to the whole buying team for being adaptable to tasks given to them 🙂
Are there people on other teams you’d like to thank?
Huge shoutout to Elaine, Henrietta, Monique, Marinella, Angelie, and the rest of the styling team for cross training us on styling and their weekly marketing task, as well as letting us temporarily handle the cs escalation styling. This opportunity has given us more insight on customers’ unique preferences and we can say that we now have a wider understanding and appreciation of what the styling team does on a daily basis. <3

5. MANUFACTURING TEAM UPDATE FROM Alana
What is your team working on the past couple of months? Any new projects?
Design/Development
In absence of placing more orders, we focused on costing projects with Popular 21 to prepare for when orders can proceed.
- cost engineering dresses and bottoms in new fabrics like velvet, techno crepe, and PU
- sourcing new trending trims costed competitively to add detail to new and existing styles
- working directly with Grace at Popular 21 Design to improve communication on technical and costing questions, saving time and increasing clarity
Buying
- cleaning up OMS closing out Order To-Dos only after all open discrepancies have been reconciled with the vendor, in OMS, and credit notes provided to accounting

6. WAREHOUSE TEAM UPDATE FROM Danielle
What is your team working on the past couple of months? Any new projects?
We had been working towards a full inventory audit. The auditors told us our inventory was 99.95% accurate, which is among the highest accuracy the auditors have seen in many years.
Are there people on your team you’d like to give a special shout-out to?
There are so many but I have to give a special thanks to this crew along with my right hand Laura. Rose, Jacquelyn, Matthew, Caitlin, Joseph, Audi and JD. Thank you SO much for weeks of preparation caring about NW inventory like its your own.
Are there people on other teams you’d like to thank?
Audit prep was a huge team effort across the warehouse and support teams; Buying, Styling, CS, and our wonderful HR Admins all made themselves available and jumped in to support. Those who could (Meredith, Ben, Hayley and Abby ) all drove to SA and joined us literally sitting on the warehouse floor to count clothes. Thank YOU! It was memorable!

7. ENGINEERING TEAM UPDATE FROM Ben
What is your team working on the past couple of months? Any new projects?
The team has been knocking out important To-dos every day. Of special note: Partial Payment Plan, Nadine West Credits System, Inspection Scanning, and under-the-hood optimizations like Hotwire.
Are there people on your team you’d like to give a special shout-out to?
A big thank you to our extraordinary Engineering team Miha, Xavier, Marat, Elmira, Panos, Faizal, and Kudakwashe. And a big thank you to our amazing Data team Elena and Francisco. Amazing work, everyone!
